Technical Director
Reports to Artistic Director
Category: Full time
Supervises: Contractors and stage crew
Compensation: $37,000-40,000 (based on experience) with benefits
Responsibilities:
+bull; Create the quality of set, lights, and sound on stage
+bull; Plan set construction schedule, logistics, staffing requirements, and hire/supervise
contractors
+bull; Complete plans according to budget and schedule
+bull; Assist with design and budgeting of each production+rsquo;s sets, lighting grid and sound
systems
+bull; Maintain the theatre+rsquo;s inventory of supplies and items in the warehouse and
workshop
+bull; Assist with instruction and supervision of Apprentice and interns
+bull; Provide complete and timely reporting to the Artistic Director
+bull; Assist in maintaining facility and repairs as needed (as skill set allows)
+bull; Communicate department needs at staff and production meetings
+bull; Assit in recruiting, hiring, and training of part time and temporary technical staff as
required.
+bull; Participate in emergency management planning and emergency preparedness
+bull; Complete and submit all required documentation including but not limited to event
reviews, expense reports, malfunction, incident, and event reports for all venue
events as assigned.

in a variety of situations
 Ability to creates and maintain inventories for multiple departments
 Capacity to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, and adapt to changes
in situations
 Excellent communication skills between all areas of production customers and the
public
 Experience with Google suite and technical programs including sketchup,
AutoCAD, Qlab, iRFR, and ETC family lighting equipment.
 Abitlity to read, draw, and interpret site diagrams, location maps, plots, etc.
