Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) seeks a Seasonal Assistant Company Manager to join our team for the 2026 summer season. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, people-centered theatre professional who enjoys being at the heart of a busy festival environment+mdash;supporting artists, managing logistics, and helping ensure the company has a smooth, welcoming, and well-run experience from arrival to departure.
The Assistant Company Manager is a key member of the operations team and serves as a central point of communication and support for visiting artists across BTG+rsquo;s summer season.
This role is best suited to a candidate who can work independently, problem-solve quickly, and support artists with discretion and calm in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
Weekly salary of $725 plus housing and utilities provided. This position begins May 18, 2026 and concludes August 30, 2026.
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive)
Experience in a theatrical setting and arts management (i.e. stage, general, company, etc.).
Valid U.S. driver+rsquo;s license and comfort driving frequently as part of daily duties
Calm, organized, and responsive approach to a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with artists, staff, and partners
Responsibilities:
Assist Company Manager with writing, distributing, and filing contracts for all company members.
Coordinate artist travel logistics for contract start/end dates and provide frequent daily transportation support throughout the season
Manage company and rental housing, including scheduling cleanings, providing supplies and furniture, and communicating with landlords.
Oversee company vehicles and rentals, including maintenance scheduling, fueling coordination, and cleanliness.
Assist Company Manager with daily and weekly scheduling for the department.
Provide hospitality for meet and greets, opening night parties, and staff events.
Work in conjunction with administrative and production department heads.
Process receipts and reimbursements for artists.
Be a direct line of communication for all company members.
