Every summer, Dorset Theatre Festival draws from some of this country+rsquo;s most talented playwrights, actors, and directors to launch new plays that go on to national acclaim, mount regional premieres to bring the best of Off-Broadway to Vermont, and incubate emerging playwrights and artists.

About the Position:
Dorset Theatre Festival seeks an Associate Company Manager for its 2026 summer season. In-person employment dates run May 19th through September 18th.
Working under the supervision of the Company Manager, the Associate Company Manager serves as local contact primarily for the summer staff, during their residence in Vermont. The Associate Company Manager will also aid the Company Manager with the casts, design teams, and playwrights of each Dorset Theatre Festival production.
Responsibilities include making travel and housing arrangements for the staff (including maintaining several residences), maintaining staff housing, coordinating staff pick-up from Albany (train station, airport), aid in budgeting with the Company Manager, and focus on staff oriented events such as staff parties throughout the season.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as demonstrated organizational abilities required. Successful candidates will be adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and will be capable of responding quickly and appropriately to the often personal needs of the staff and artists temporarily living in Vermont. This position requires nights and weekend shifts. A clean driving record, valid driver+rsquo;s license, and access to a personal vehicle is required.
Compensation:
Salary is $575-650/week DOE; single occupancy bedroom in a shared house for the summer season.
