Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre is currently seeking artists + technicians of diverse disciplines to apply for Production positions with our company. Our production team will mount 3 productions during the season, with a compensation package tailored to their roles, including complimentary housing within easy walking distance of the theatre. We are seeking experienced theatrical professionals to come join our team. Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, a collaborative mindset, and technical skills specific to their discipline. Professionalism and dedication to high-quality work are essential.


MASTER ELECTRICIAN/RUNNING CREW (SEEKING ONE)
Start/End Date: May 25th - September 4th, 2026
Compensation: $700/wk

Reports To: Lighting Designer, Production Manager

Primary Responsibilities
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
-Work closely with Lighting Designer and the Creative teams for each production
-Perform as an electrician for load-ins, changeovers, focus calls, strikes, notes calls, and maintenance calls
-Show preparation which includes preparing required equipment, organization of color, templates, and other consumables as well as the wiring of practicals and effects
-Maintenance/repair of lighting department equipment and facilities as assigned
-Installation of LED tape and other set practicals
-Involvement on nightly running crew, likely not fully in an +ldquo;electrician+rdquo; capacity.
-Perform daily dimmer/focus checks to maintain the lighting design during the run, correcting problems, as needed
-Responsible for the organization/installation/build/safety of all electrical practicals and effects
-Coordinate with other departments regarding safety lighting and location of LX and video/projection equipment and effects
-Ensure workplace safety using best practices in electrical safety, video/projection safety, theatrical rigging, + working at height
-Lead unskilled labor in nightly show changeover
-Attend production meetings as needed

RMRT's Master Electrician will also participate backstage on the running crew for nightly performances.

Qualifications Master Electrician/Running Crew
The following skills and experience are required:
-Superior knowledge and experience with theatrical lighting consoles and accessories
-Experience with programming, rigging, hazers, foggers, theatrical effects, LED tape, intelligent lighting fixtures, practicals, MIDI control, and standard theatrical practices
-Skills in soldering, wiring, and general LED Tape installation
-Aptitude for creative technical and artistic problem solving
-Familiar with Vectorworks, Microsoft Office, video production and playback software including QLab
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills
-Experience working in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment
-Able to work independently and as a team player
-Detail oriented; able to prioritize efficiently and multi-task
-Some experience on backstage running crew, and a positive interest in working on running crew.
