Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires, is seeking a Head Electrician/Board Op for our mainstage to join our team in Pittsfield, MA.

JOB OVERVIEW
The primary programmer and operator for the main stage. This role focuses on the consistent execution of the lighting design and the supervision of the run crew in the Boyd-Quinson venue.
REQUIREMENTS
Program and operate the lighting console for all BQ productions and events; replicate the design consistently as called by Stage Management.
Complete pre-show checks and post-show shutdown; perform quick repairs on practicals or show-specific effects.
Maintain up-to-date paperwork for each production including, plot, channel hook-up and show run sheets
Hang, focus, and strike instruments according to the plot and designer instructions.
Aid in the construction and wiring of specialty items such as light boxes, star drops, and LED Tape projects
Lead the Spot Operators during tech and show runs.
Keep the electrics shop as well as the lighting booth for the venue clean and organized throughout the season
Assist in maintaining and updating the lighting inventory throughout the season
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Expert proficiency in programming and operating ETC Eos consoles.
Experience with moving lights, LED fixtures, and atmospherics.
Ability to take notes during tech and implement them efficiently.
Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.
