Long Lake Camp is looking for a Tech Director and ATD to lead our technical theater team this summer.
Dates of Employment (6/21/26-8/31/26)
Salary starting starting starting at$6,000 for TD and $4,000 for ATD.
Long Lake Camp for the Arts is located in upstate New York in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Since 1969 we have produced musicals, dramas, comedies, circus, rock concerts, dance performances, and music concerts every summer with children ages 8 to 16. Our private campus is surrounded by stunning mountains lakes and trees and a truly wonderful place to spend your summer. In addition to your salary, 3 meals a day, Free Housing,Staff Laundry and Days Off. Long Lake offers all performing and fine arts plus fun water and land sports. On your days off and time off you are welcome to enjoy many of the camps activities.
We offer a non-competitive performing arts program for campers who love to perform and enjoy technical theater. We run 3 theaters and create all our own sets, costumes and props and hire great lighting and sound technicians each summer.
Your job will include liaising with our head of performing arts and making sure each of the technical departments are on time and able to meet the show deadlines. You will be supporting our technical theater staff as well as helping to create the shows. You will be scheduling staff time and days off and purchasing supplies and products for the department. Our head of costumes and props will be in charge of their ordering. If you have general knowledge in all aspects of theatrical production that is a benefit as is time management. Strong carpentry, lighting and sound knowledge and experience are especially of interest as is set design.
