Props Coordinator +ndash; Seagle Festival
Seagle Festival is seeking a Properties Coordinator for the 2026
summer season. The season includes 4 main stage productions;
HMS Pinafore, Cosi fan tutte, Dead Man Walking (opera) and The
Sound of Music, as well as a children+rsquo;s opera that tours. Seagle
Festival follows EOE guidelines. This is a Non-union position.

Schroon Lake, New York -Adirondack Mountain Region
Contract Dates:
June 15 through August 23 (10 weeks)
Facilities:
33 Acre Campus
175 seat Theatre 26+rsquo; wide proscenium 26+rsquo; deep- Hemp house no fly
loft -permanent double ring turn table 20+rdquo; center with 3+rsquo; doughnut
manual crank. Full set of draperies and lighting equipment all new
over the last 20 years.
Complete Scene Shop with table saw, drill press, Steel saw, radial
arm saw, band saw, excellent stock of hand tools mostly Makita.
Including dedicated prop area.
Compensation:
$500 per week plus housing-private room shared bath. Travel
stipend, All meals on workdays. This is a 6-day a week job with one
full day off each week.
Duties:
- Create the props plot for each of the productions working with the
designers and directors.
- Pull from stock, shop locally and/or on-line, and in some cases build
all necessary props
- Work directly with stage management to see that the props are
maintained in the rehearsal hall and on stage for each production.
- Supervise props use for all productions. Each production has two
full technical rehearsals as well as two dresses. Each production has
3 evening performances and a matinee. The children+rsquo;s opera is
mounted at the start of the summer and then tours on its own.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience working in technical theatre at least 1 year
in props
-basic electrical knowledge
-basic Upholstery
-basic sewing skills
-Ability to work on their own and as part of a team
-Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow and implement health and safety standards.
- Valid driver+rsquo;s license
