Primary Responsibilities
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
* Direct Supervisor: Stage Operations Supervisor
* Assist the Stage Operations Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of stage operations
* Assist supervising Stage Ops staff as needed
* Have good knowledge of all the shows in the season
* Work run crew for every main stage performance
* Work run crew for TYA performances and Concerts as assigned
* Organize and maintain backstage spaces
* Complete pre-show and post show duties which include cleaning the stage and backstage; setting up and striking props; resetting scenery
* Complete daily inspections of stage equipment
* Assist with the rigging/setup/operating of moving set pieces, automation, and related equipment
* Run automation and theatrical effects as assigned
* Communicate and coordinate with technical departments
* Assist creating run-crew tracks, duties, and schedules
* Maintain and repair all scenery, set pieces, and properties
* Responsible for maintaining stock of stage consumables
* Assist mapping out movement of scenic elements with the Stage Manager and Technical Director
* Assist coordinating with stage management to create crew schedules for each production
* Assist maintaining flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, maintenance, and evening shows
* Assist coordinating load-in/strike/load-out
* Work in the scene shop 1 day a week and as assigned by the Director of Production under the supervision of the TD
* Attend all run-throughs, backstage prep, technical rehearsals, performances, load ins, and strikes as scheduled
* Participate in MSMT events as needed and/or required
* Adhere to the MSMT Safety protocols and all other applicable MSMT policies + procedures
* Drive MSMT vehicles
* Promote a collaborative, inclusive, positive and respectful working environment
* Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Production and MSMT Annual Staff
Qualifications
The following skills and experience are required:
* Experience working backstage run crew, with counterweight rigging systems, live entertainment rigging practices, and stage automation
* Trained in the safe operation of stationary and portable power tools and hand tools
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and other applicable software
* Able to manage teams and foster both team and individual growth among employees
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and communication skills
* Experience working in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment
* Able to work independently and as a team player
* Detail oriented and able to prioritize efficiently
* Driver+rsquo;s license and clean driving record required
* Car preferred but not required
