HAIR AND WIG SUPERVISOR
Start Date: May 18, 2026

Travel Dates: May 17 + August 31, 2026
Compensation: $4,000 for 15 weeks + travel, room, and all meals
Reports to: Costume Shop Manager and Production Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Set up, organize, and manage all aspects of the Barn+rsquo;s wigs in the costume shop for the Summer season.
- Working with multiple designers, participate in the fittings, maintaining any rentals, and strikes for all main stage productions,
- Serve as head of wigs and hair for the season, working with stage management and costume designers to maintain their vision.
- May design a small scale show or an additional wig(s) based on needs of a rental package.
- Supervision of one Costume Intern and Acting Intern working in the Costume Shop.
- Serve as part of show run crew on productions.
- Manage one costume intern during tech and performances and abide by relevant Actors+rsquo; Equity guidelines.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of wig quick changes, as well as daily wig maintenance, and cleaning of wigs.
- Provide assistance to actors with basic hair and makeup needs.
- Attending designer run-throughs and production meetings as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Some prior experience with wardrobe at the college or early professional level is required. Prior experience working with Equity actors/AEA guidelines a plus.
- 1-2 years+rsquo; experience with wigs and hair required.
- Experience with makeup is a plus.
- Ability to follow health and safety standards.
- Valid driver+rsquo;s license preferred, but not required.
