PROPS SUPERVISOR

Travel Dates: May 17 + September 8, 2026
Compensation: $5,333 for 16 weeks + travel, room, and all meals
Reports to: Production Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Lead in the successful pulling, borrowing, renting, construction, installation and strike of props, furniture, and set dressing elements for all main stage productions.
- Communicate proactively with Scenic Designers, Stage Managers, Directors, and other department heads to ensure safe and appropriate implementation of all prop elements.
- Coordinate with Stage Management to support prop needs in rehearsal and performances.
- Educate Stage Management and performers in appropriate prop usage.
- Order necessary materials and supplies in a timely manner. Track deliveries and purchases, submitting all necessary paperwork to the Production Manager within deadlines and budgets.
- Organize and maintain prop and furniture storage areas.
- Supervision of Props Intern and Acting Interns working in the Props Department.
- Attend and participate in production meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years experience as Props Supervisor/Lead or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent research skills and a strong knowledge of hand and scenic prop construction/fabrication techniques, carpentry, upholstery, soft goods and crafts skills.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to follow health and safety standards.
- Valid driver+rsquo;s license required.
