ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Start Date: May 18, 2026
End Date: September 7, 2026
Travel Dates: May 17 + September 8th
Compensation: $5,333 for 16 weeks + travel, room, and all meals
Reports To: Technical Director and Production Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Assist in the setup and supervision of the Barn+rsquo;s brand-new scene shop.
- Assist in barn projects, cleaning and maintenance.
- Contribute to the building, installation, and strike of each set across a busy summer season.
- Act as Technical Director for the installation, run, and strike of the final show of the season.
- Ensure proper maintenance and usage of all shop equipment and tools.
- Supervision of Scenic Interns and Acting Interns working in the Scene Shop.
- Attend and participate in production meetings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years shop experience is preferred.
- Advanced scenic construction skills are preferred. Basic rigging experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCad and Vectorworks is a plus.
- Effective problem solving and time management skills with the ability to follow instructions, complete jobs from start to finish, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow health and safety standards.
- Valid driver's license required.
