Lead Production Electrician:
The historic Cape Playhouse in Dennis, MA +mdash; the oldest continuously operating summer
theater in America- is accepting resumes for a Lead Production Electrician for our 2026
Summer Season which includes Nat Zegree's Mozart to Pop Chart, Into the Woods,
Hairspray, Mean Girls, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and various smaller
events throughout the summer. The rate for this position is $18.00-$20.00/hour,
commensurate with experience. This is a full time position with opportunity for overtime
after 40 hrs a week.
This contract begins on May 4th and ends on October 4th. There is some flexibility to start
and end dates. Housing may be provided.
The Lead Production Electrician reports to the Lighting Supervisor.
The Lead Production Electrician is responsible for, in collaboration with the Lighting
Supervisor, building, installing, and maintaining all set electrics for the season. They will
also help lead the rest of the Lighting team to prep, install, and focus all light plots. They
may also perform maintenance and inventory work or cover occasional run tracks on the
LX board or spotlight.
Two years of professional experience required. Must have excellent communication skills,
high energy, and be organized. Skill set should include, hanging, cabling, and focusing LED
and moving lights, soldering LED tape and other low voltage lighting, and the ability to
assist the Lighting Supervisor in leading apprentices and other relevant staff for all work
calls. Experience with basic moving light maintenance is preferred, but not required. The
Lead Production Electrician must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform
physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting, bending, standing, climbing.
