About the Position

The Props Supervisor is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Production Manager and is a key member of the Production team, working collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure smooth and successful execution of the overall vision of each production. This is a full-time exempt position with a work week consisting of at least 40 working hours, more as is necessary and particularly around technical periods. Duties of the position will evolve as the organization and its needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities

General Duties
- Attend all Production Meetings, Weekly Department meetings, and Playhouse All-Staff Meetings
- Maintain an organized props/furniture inventory.
- Other duties pertaining to the key functions of the job and/or department as assigned
Show Related Duties
- Work with design teams, production staff, and outside vendors in the procurement of all properties and furniture for all shows, including rentals, returns, and fabrication.
- Ensure the upkeep and repair of all properties and consumables for the run of show.
- Track all props expenses and purchases.
- Supervise over hire properties artists as needed.
- Be present for all technical rehearsals, and available during performances leading up to opening and/or the first public performance of each BCP produced works.
