Children's Theater of Madison (CTM), a professional Theater for Young Audiences company in Madison, WI, seeks a Production Designer for our upcoming Educational touring production of The Rainbow Fish. The show, adapted by Austin Zumbro from the book by Marcus Pfister and translated into English by J. Alison James, follows a fish who is reluctant to share his beautiful scales with the other sea creatures, until he learns the values of generosity and friendship.

CTM's Educational Young Company Touring Show rehearses and performs at the Madison Youth Arts Center, with additional performances at various community centers in the greater Madison area. The Production Designer will collaborate with the show's Director to design and execute the very basic, limited scenic elements for the show as well as design and execute simple but imaginative props and costumes.

This is a very small-scale production perfect for a current college student or a recent graduate with design and creation experience. The emphasis is on ensuring all elements can be broken down to fit into a minivan for the tour.
