STAGES St. Louis, a professional musical theatre company entering our 40th season, is seeking Production Staff to join our 2026 Season. The Season, which runs from May through October, consists of three large-scale musicals: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Guys and Dolls, and Come from Away. Start and End dates depend on each individual position. All seasonal positions are paid bi-weekly on Fridays. Although limited, housing is available on a first come first serve basis. STAGES St. Louis strives to create a diverse and inclusive environment.
AUDIO SUPERVISOR
STAGES St. Louis is looking for an Audio Supervisor for our 2026 season. Although start and end dates are flexible, they are generally from April to October. The Audio Supervisor works closely with the Musical Director and Sound Designer to direct the Audio department.
1. Required skills
a. Knowledge of audio and video equipment and practices to implement the Sound Designer+rsquo;s plans
b. Personnel management including teaching, supervising, and collaborating.
c. Experienced in monitoring and tracking budget spending.
d. Confident reading and interpreting drawings and plots to create workflows and make staffing assignments
e. Experience with Digico SD9, Aviom personal mixers, and L+rsquo;Acoustics PA and typical musical theatre audio and video needs is required.
2. Required duties
a. Attend Production Meetings and other meetings.
b. Fulfill the audio and video needs for the Music department.
c. Coordinate interdepartmental needs on behalf of the Sound department.
d. Supervise and create daily work schedule for the audio staff.
e. In concert with other departments, direct workflow as per tech schedule.
f. Perform any repairs or maintenance on audio equipment.
g. Supervise and direct theatre load in.
h. Set up audio shop and stock supplies.
3. Required concepts
a. Project management including time, labor, and materials estimation.
b. Attention to detail in all aspects.
c. Commitment to performing all aspects of job with respect to design adherence as well as safety.
4. Organizational
a. May be required to participate on show crew if needed.
b. Excellent interpersonal skills with many different personality types.
c. Read and adhere to the guidelines in the Employee Handbook.
d. Other duties as assigned.
Working conditions may include nights and weekends, and some overtime as needed. Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights. A moderate degree of physical ability is associated with production positions, including the ability to lift and move up to 50lbs. Wearing and or using personal protective equipment is required. May be required to drive a company cargo van.
