STAGES St. Louis, a professional musical theatre company entering our 40th season, is seeking Production Staff to join our 2026 Season. The Season, which runs from May through October, consists of three large-scale musicals: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Guys and Dolls, and Come from Away. Start and End dates depend on each individual position. All seasonal positions are paid bi-weekly on Fridays. Although limited, housing is available on a first come first serve basis. ELECTRICIAN/SPOTLIGHT OPERATOR
STAGES St. Louis is looking for an Electrician/Spotlight Operator for our 2026 season. Although start and end dates are flexible, they are generally from April to October.

1. Required skills
a. Solid understanding of electrical systems
b. Comfortable working at heights.
c. Experience with ETC systems, consoles and fixtures.
d. Familiar with the operation and maintenance of consoles and lighting fixtures, including incandescent, LED, Follow Spots and moving lights.
e. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
f. Precision in executing the directions of the Electrics Supervisor.

2. Required duties
a. Run the spotlight during all technical rehearsals, performances, photo calls, and work calls.
b. Participate in hang, circuit, dimmer patch, focus and/or strike of lighting instruments for each production.
c. Assist with pre-season prep, load-in, changeovers and season strike.
d. Perform duties as assigned by the Electrics Supervisor or Assistant Electrics Supervisor.
e. Assist with carpentry projects relating to electrified scenery as needed.

3. Required concepts
a. Excellent interpersonal skills with many different personality types.
b. Attention to detail in all aspects.
c. Commitment to performing all aspects of job with respect to design adherence as well as safety.

4. Organizational
a. Read and adhere to the guidelines in the Employee Handbook.
b. Other duties as assigned.

Working conditions may include nights and weekends, and some overtime as needed. Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights. A moderate degree of physical ability is associated with production positions, including the ability to lift and move up to 50lbs. Wearing and or using personal protective equipment is required. May be required to drive a company cargo van and 26' box truck.
