Responsible for costume construction and repairs for Mainstage and Popcorn Theatre productions. Works with the Director, Technical Director, Artistic Director, and Designers to create and convey the costume vision for the Popcorn Theatre productions.
● Procures or constructs all costume and accessory pieces. Duties include sewing, fitting and measurements, but may also include craftwork and millinery.
● Offers general sewing assistance to capable costume shop volunteers (provided by Tibbits).
● Responsible for costume repairs during each show+rsquo;s run.
● Assists with all strikes.
● Maintains a clean workspace and ensures the costume shop is in good order.
● As Popcorn Theatre Designer:
○ Responsible for designing the costumes for the popcorn shows and must provide any sketches necessary to the director to convey the vision.
○ Oversees/procures or constructs all costume and accessory pieces or delegates duties to costumer(s) and capable volunteers (provided by Tibbits). If the Popcorn production uses the costume crew, then must communicate to the Costume Shop Supervisor the necessities of the design.] Duties include sewing, fitting and measurements, but may also include craftwork and millinery.
○ Attends Popcorn run-throughs.
○ Responsible for costume repairs during each show+rsquo;s run.
○ Works within the allotted budget set by the Costume Shop Supervisor.
