The Department of Theatre + Dance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse invites applications for a Assistant Teaching Professor beginning in August 2026. The primary responsibilities of this position are to work as the Scene Shop Supervisor/Assistant Technical Director and teach Theatre Appreciation. Other courses are possible.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scenic construction and scene shop management. This position, under the supervision of the Technical Director, will coordinate technical and production details as required for productions and other activities in UWL Theatre and Dance spaces. The position is also responsible for supervising day-to-day work of student shop staff; preparing budget estimates for time, labor and materials as designated by the Technical Director; drafting and revising technical drawings based on the scenic design.
