Associate Producer Theatre By The Sea

DESCRIPTION: Theatre By The Sea, a 492-seat proscenium theatre, seeks an experienced individual to join our dynamic artistic team as ASSOCIATE PRODUCER. Reporting to the Producing Artistic Director, this full-time position collaborates with and supports all matters related to the artistic life of the theater. Responsibilities include assisting in producing the season, overseeing the day-to-day artistic operations, handling artist contracts, and overseeing the Company Management department. The associate producer also interacts with all departments throughout the organization and provides a consistent artistic voice, supports the overall artistic vision, participates in the departmental budgeting process, and interacts with the Producing Artistic Director, General Manager, Production Manager, and Owner on a regular basis.

Duties:
+bull; Reports to the Producing Artistic Director
+bull; Oversees the day-to-day artistic operations
+bull; Implements plans the P.A.D. creates
+bull; Works with General Manager to ensure budgets are being followed
+bull; Works varying and often late hours as well as evenings and weekends
+bull; Works with P.A.D. on contracting Cast and Creatives
+bull; Oversees the Company Management Team
+bull; Works with Production Manager creating production schedules
+bull; Follows all union rules per the AEA COST agreement
+bull; Assists with weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and compliances with AEA COST agreement.
+bull; Arranges travel, transportation, and housing for all cast and creatives with C.M. Team
+bull; Oversees the educational program needs
+bull; Assists in all aspects of special events (i.e. concerts/children+rsquo;s series)
Requirements:
+bull; Minimum of five years+rsquo; experience
+bull; Significant experience in team building, cultivating relationships with artists and managing others
+bull; Superior organizational, communication and writing skills
+bull; Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+bull; Attention to detail within a fast-paced environment
+bull; A personable and collaborative spirit with excellent diplomatic skills
