Audio Engineer (A1 + A2), NYC
Venue: Centennial Memorial Temple (CMT)
Status: Part time/On-call
Rate: $30-55/hr (commensurate with experience)
Job Description:
We are a looking for an Audio engineer capable of being flexible and working at FOH, onstage
and the ability to mix a live stream, as well as record to a DAW. This candidate should have
excellent communication and team skills, and be flexible in the work environment.
Average workload is about 3-6 events a month. Preferably or 3 -5 years work experience as a
Audio Engineer (A1 and/or A2). We are looking for a good communicator and a problem solver.
Looking to
start Immediately. Weekend availability is a must.
Skills
+bull; 3-5 years of experience in Tour or Stage Production
+bull; Proficient in FOH Audio (Digico SD9 + Behringer X32)
+bull; Experience with mixing live streams (Berhinger X32 console)
+bull; Experience with multi-track recording (protools and/or Logic)
+bull; Micing up a variety of instruments on stage (ex. classical ensembles, rock bands, actors,
world music, etc.)
+bull; Experience working with headset microphones on actors and speakers/presenters
+bull; Experience with adjusting stage monitors via IPAD app (floor wedges + IEM+rsquo;s)
+bull; Experience with helping to move stage elements during shows
+bull; Choose appropriate microphones and/or audio reinforcement based on event and clients
needs
+bull; Apply provided input lists or band configuration for setup
+bull; Experience with PTZ cameras and video equipment would be a bonus
+bull; Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+bull; Strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with clients and other team members
+bull; Excellent communication abilities
+bull; Able to read a stage plot and deigns audio reinforcement based on clients needs
+bull; Assist with production tasks throughout the venue
+bull; Meet artist and event A/V requirements
+bull; Ensure the safe operation of all Audio equipment
+bull; Coordinate closely with visiting production crews to guarantee seamless show execution
+bull; Provide assistance to audio crews with tools, microphones, and cables important for setup
+bull; Assist with Load-in, setup, and breakdown of band and event equipment when needed
+bull; Ability to list 40-50lbs
The venue is a 1350 seat theatre in an art deco style. We are located in the on the border of
Manhattan+rsquo;s Chelsea and Greenwich Village sections.
Must have experience in technical theatre or live concerts. Pay varies based on project and
