WARDROBE SUPERVISOR

Salary: $920-$950/weekly with benefits

The position we+rsquo;re filling
As the Wardrobe Supervisor you will apply your problem-solving skills and detail-oriented mindset to oversee the dressing of actors
for all performances. As a multi-talented leader, you excel at thinking quickly on your feet in a dynamic environment while overseeing
costume preparation and guaranteeing performers are stage-ready. Your organizational abilities and discerning eye for detail will be
relied upon each night to guarantee every performer is dressed in the correct costume pieces as envisioned by the designer. Leading
and collaborating with your crew, and working in tandem with the Wig Supervisor, you play a key role in delivering a smooth,
successful performance each night.
What you+rsquo;ll be doing
+bull; Attending preparation meetings and designer runs prior to technical rehearsals
+bull; Preparing costumes in actors+rsquo; dressing rooms in advance of the first dress rehearsal
+bull; Generating and maintaining accurate wardrobe tracks, running sheets, and laundry/dry-cleaning schedules
+bull; Scheduling and coordinating all dry-cleaning pickups and drop-offs
+bull; Maintaining an inventory of all laundry and wardrobe supplies, and notifying the Costume Director of any items that need to
be purchased or sourced
+bull; Adhering to hypoallergenic laundry standards and following all safety protocols
+bull; Laundering and maintaining the look of costumes during the run of each production, including daily routine checks for
wardrobe issues
+bull; Overseeing all backstage wardrobe needs, assisting actors and executing quick changes during performances.
+bull; Supervising and assisting with repairs and maintenance of costumes throughout all performances
+bull; Overseeing over-hire wardrobe staff as directed by the Costume Director and Assistant Director
+bull; Modeling best safety practices in the handling and use of equipment and materials in the workspace
+bull; Collaborating with Stage Management to coordinate costume changes and organize dressing areas efficiently
+bull; Maintaining wardrobe spaces, equipment, and dressing areas in a clean and functional condition
+bull; Assisting the shop with labeling, sorting, and organizing all show related pieces
+bull; Supporting the upkeep and maintenance of costume storage and assisting with rental requests, as needed, provided these
responsibilities do not interfere with primary job duties
+bull; Reviewing and assisting the Costume Director with hiring, retention, and recruitment of wardrobe crew
+bull; Providing wardrobe support for the summer education productions.
Physical Requirements:
+bull; Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds throughout the shift
+bull; Navigating multiple flights of stairs
Essential knowledge and Qualifications:
+bull; Demonstrated experience as a wardrobe technician and or supervisor
+bull; Proficiency in basic machine and hand sewing techniques; advanced alteration experience preferred
+bull; Experience with jewelry repair, and costume crafts
+bull; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications- Word and Excel-
+bull; Familiarity with organizational software like Google Drive, ASANA and or Airtable
