The Hartt School, University of Hartford seeks experienced electricians for overhire/on-call work supporting our venue electrics and lighting crew. These project-based roles offer flexible opportunities to contribute to our production season. Responsibilities include assisting with hang, rigging, cabling, focus, and patching of light plots (conventional, LED, intelligent fixtures, and practicals); wiring special effects and LED tape; troubleshooting equipment; and maintaining a safe, collaborative work environment.

Required Qualifications: Strong command of theatrical electrics and terminology; proficiency reading/hanging light plots and ground plans; familiarity with DMX addressing and ETC Ion Classic console; rigging knowledge and comfort working at heights (up to 30 feet); safe and proficient use of shop tools; ability to troubleshoot under pressure; comfortable driving a 26-foot box truck; and reliable transportation, valid driver+rsquo;s license, safe driving record.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in technical theater electrics is strongly recommended; welding and rigging familiarity preferred.
