The Texas Shakespeare Festival is a rotating repertory professional theatre in East Texas. Their 2026 season of shows are: Midsummer Night's Dream, Emma, Hamlet, 1776, and The Reluctant Dragon.

May 14 arrive / June 29 depart

$4,000 stipend / up to $300 travel / single occupancy dorm housing / 11 meals a week

Minimum Requirements: Advanced skills in management, scheduling, bookkeeping, and budgeting. Proficient in woodworking and painting. Knowledge of molding + casting and finishing techniques. General knowledge of period style. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, safety conscious, and a team player with at least two years of professional experience in properties management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsible for:

Communicate with stage managers and directors to maintain a consistently up to date properties list and rehearsal properties needs

Issue call times and coordinate crew member schedules around changeoover and run crew responsibilities

Oversee the department's budget, including any purchases made in stores or online and turning in receipts and purchasing sheets

Maintain organization of tools in the shop and properties in stock storage

Assist with the construction and/or acquistion of properties for the children's production and other auxiliary shows

Performing all duties within the parameters of the allotted budget and production schedule
