The Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill, NY is looking to add to our roster of experienced freelance LD's to sub for our house Lighting Director on an as-needed basis. Specifically we are looking for people who have experience running lights on the fly with dynamic musicality for one-off concerts.


The house Lighting Director will train new hires to use our rep plot which is a mix of conventional + intelligent fixtures, using an ETC Ion with a 2x20 fader wing and preexisting show file for the variety of concerts and other live events that come through our space. Additional day of show responsibilities include being hands-on in the load-in/out process, setting up musicians' gear onstage, focusing front specials as needed, and occasionally assisting an artists' own LD if they bring one.


Candidates must have their own reliable transportation as Metro North train times are not always compatible. Ideal candidates have great creative problem solving skills, musical intuition, positive attitude, be comfortable working at heights, prioritize safety, and be a collaborative learner and worker.
