The Encore Musical Theatre Company is searching for dressers. Dressers play a key role in supporting live performances by assisting actors with costume changes, maintaining the organization and cleanliness of backstage areas, and ensuring all costumes are show-ready. This position works closely with the Wardrobe Supervisor, Costume Designer, and Stage Management team to help each production run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist performers with quick changes and costume needs during rehearsals and performances.

Maintain organization and cleanliness in dressing rooms, backstage, and quick change areas.

Set up quick change areas with lighting, mirrors, and necessary supplies.

Ensure costumes are correctly preset, hung, and organized by character and performer.

Report any costume issues (damage, malfunctions, missing items) to the Wardrobe Supervisor immediately.

Follow cleaning and laundry instructions; assist with laundry and costume strike as needed.

Participate in post-show responsibilities such as packing, costume return, and organization of costume stock.

Maintain professionalism, discretion, and respect for all performers and crew backstage.

Requirements:
Availability for all tech rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.

Ability to stay calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Basic sewing or costume repair skills (preferred but not required).

Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
