Cedar Point, one of the oldest amusement parks in the country, is looking for energetic, creative, driven staff for it's 2025 season. Each year, Cedar Point's Live Entertainment division produces over 15 productions including interactive/immersive shows, music reviews, cover bands, special events, and more! We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to be a part of our Fall production team.

Reports to: Haunt Costume Area Supervisor

Responsibilities:
Accurately account for costumes at the beginning and end of day.
Perform repairs such as resewing buttons, closures, quick-rigging, replacing zippers, patching small holes, etc. in a timely manner.
Communicate costume needs to team leadership.
Ensure timely handout of costumes during the scheduled window of time.
Ensure costumes are being worn and treated correctly by Actors.
Participate in fittings.
Maintain the design integrity and properly style outfits to the theme of each haunt location.
Work with leadership to properly sort costumes for weekly laundry.
Ensure costumes are sanitized and stored properly at the end of each shift.
Walk through houses and zones nightly to conduct inspections of costumes and emergency repairs while haunts are in operation.
Accurately report any Actor costuming violations.
Work a 40-hour hybrid schedule with the park open Thursday-Sunday, and Wednesday as an operations day.
Organize and clean all costuming tables, stock areas, and break areas.
Communicate daily needs with team leadership.
Coordinate with production/event leadership for overall success of event.
Ensure the longevity and integrity of event/production costumes.
Willing to take constructive criticism and be open to learning new methods.
Maintain confidentiality related to company and production information.
Maintain a neat workspace.
Work in tight areas may be required from time to time.
Adhere to safety standards with PPE. Mandatory adherence.
Follow and execute a pre-assigned costume list.
Maintain consistency with costume operations from day to day.
Be in compliance with OSHA safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Adhere to and uphold Costume, Props, + Park policy.
Conduct daily inspections of actors in haunted houses and scare zones, while in operation.
Conduct weekly/daily maintenance of production costumes and accessories.
Must be present for all rehearsal schedule periods.
Must be able to possibly work nights, mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Any other and all duties deemed necessary by management pertaining to the Costume/Prop and Performance Departments.

Education + Experience:
Pursuing or obtained a vocational degree in Costumes or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.
1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Costuming in either an Educational or Professional Theatrical setting.

Skills:
Maintain positive attitude, high level of organizational, strong communication skills, problem solving skills, and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Thrive in a deadline centered environment.
Basic knowledge and understanding of hand sewing, machine sewing along with clothing and jewelry repairs.
Open to learning new skills.
Must be able to take instruction in a professional and positive manner.
Must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a professional work ethic.
Must be able to work in a collaborative environment.
Basic knowledge of wig/hair styling is a plus, but not required!
