Reports To: Production Manager / Technical Director

Summary:
The Head Sound Engineer is responsible for all audio systems on tour for Miracle on 34th St., including load-in, tuning, operation, and strike. This role manages the touring sound department, oversees local crew, and mixes the show during performances to ensure consistent audio quality across all venues.

Responsibilities:

Lead audio system load-in, setup, sound check, and strike.

Mix the show during performances, maintaining consistent sound across venues.

Supervise Assistant Sound and direct local audio crews.

Maintain and repair touring audio equipment.

Collaborate with designers, stage management, and performers.

Manage sound inventory and touring spares.

Qualifications:

Professional audio/touring sound experience required.

Strong mixing and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of live sound reinforcement, RF systems, and digital consoles.

Leadership and adaptability in changing venues.

December 26+ndash;28 +mdash; Tyson, VA

December 29+ndash;January 4 +mdash; Syracuse, NY

Compensation: $1,000+ndash;$1,200/week DOE + $45/day per diem

Housing and travel provided.

This tour is expected to expand and rerun next year, offering potential year-over-year employment opportunities.
