Props Artisan

Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks an experienced Props Artisan for our 2025 Season productions of "When Elvis Met the Beatles" and "Titanic".

We are looking for candidates with IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY who would work through to end-of-season on Sun. 11/9.

Ideal Candidate: Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced working environment. 
 
Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to): 
- Must have experience in prop shopping and acquiring items for a wide variety of theatrical styles and periods for each production.
- Possess strong knowledge of construction techniques and high-level artisan skills, including painting, sculpting, and molds.
- Theatrical carpentry skills a must.
- Assist load-in/strike as necessary.
- Ideal candidate would have a valid driver+rsquo;s license and personal vehicle.
Sewing skills preferred.
- Upholstery skills preferred, but not required.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with Arts Academy productions.
- Job requires ability to sit/stand for long periods of time, and bend, stoop, or kneel in execution of duties as assigned.
- Job requires ability to lift, carry, move necessary equipment up and down stairs in varied lighting conditions.
- Unconventional hours may be required.

Position is a W2, $19/hr plus O/T and housing included.
