Spot Op/Electrician

Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks experienced Spot Op/Electrician for our 2025 Season. Employment would start on or around Fri. 8/22 until end-of-season Sun. 11/9 (with possible extension for holiday show approx. Mon. 11/10 - Mon. 12/22).

Ideal Candidate: Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced working environment. Prior theatrical electrician experience is required.

Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to):
- Startup, checkout, and shutdown procedures for each show (8 shows/week).
- Operate spots while maintaining design integrity of each show.
- Assist the Head Electrician and Asst. Head Electrician with execution of lighting plots.
- Participate in weekly work calls.
- Support with repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of conventional and automated lighting equipment.
- Assist with rehearsals, load-in, strike, tech rehearsals, and previews.
Additional hours running events and Arts Academy Shows.
- Rigging, ladder work, and lift experience required.
- Opportunities for work with Arts Academy possible.
- Unconventional hours may be required. Must be able to work overnights for Tech Weeks (typically four 12-hr shifts) for each production.

Position is a W2, $19/hr plus O/T and housing included.

Ogunquit Playhouse will now be offering Health insurance to all employees who are with the company for 120+ consecutive days and work at least 30 hours weekly. Ogunquit Playhouse will cover 75% of employee+rsquo;s company sponsored Health insurance premium. Dental and Vision insurance will also be available at the employee+rsquo;s expense. Employees who work the Ogunquit Playhouse+rsquo;s entire season will also accrue Earned Paid Leave up to 40 hours. Eligibility is based on the length of the contract. Shortening the length of that contract may affect eligibility.
