Position Title: Costume Department Seamstress - Part Time
Department: Costume Department, Production Crew


Responsibilities:
The Costume Shop seamstress is assigned to the costume department. He/she/them assist in the building of the production and maintenance of the shop. The Costume Shop Seamstress works under the supervision of the Costume Designer and reports directly to them.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Construct and/or alter costumes to designer specifications
- Craft projects as needed
- Load in and load out of production
- Steam, hang, prepare, and preset costumes for run of show preparations

Qualifications:
- 2 +ndash; 3 years+rsquo; experience in the costume or apparel construction field or a university equivalent
- Excellent skills in costume construction and modification techniques
- Experience with pattern grading and drafting
- Comfortable using industrial or domestic sewing and serger machines
- Extremely detail-oriented and responsible
- Exceptional time management skills
- Proactive self-starter
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines, in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
- Ability to adapt easily to an ever-changing production process

Contract Details:
- Job is ON Site
- Part time position, 20 to 30 hours a week
- Start 9/2/25
- Bi weekly pay
- Hourly pay @ $17.75 / hr
