Summary
Seeking a part-time Facilities Manager for Houghton Hall Arts Community, a multi-room facility located in the Midtown/NoMad area. Employee will be responsible for handling day-to-day operational and technical tasks, managing vendors and other 3rd party contractors, helping keep the space in compliance, and completing improvement and maintenance projects. An ideal candidate thrives in a start-up environment and is willing to share their own ideas and have input on how to find solutions. This position will initially be part-time and temporary, with the possibility of extension after six months.

Houghton Hall Arts Community is a project of the Church of the Transfiguration. As such, the standards of inclusivity, accessibility, and compassion are at its core. Salary and Benefits
Part-time hourly. $25-30/hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
Operational
-Ensure all H.H.A.C. and Church spaces are clean and user-ready at all times.
-Create and maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment
-Oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
-Work with the Managing Director and Rector to recommend and implement space such improvements and upgrades
-Build and maintain relationships with anchor tenants

Management
-Act as the point of contact for all 3rd party vendors and contractors
-Create and maintain portfolios, including contracts and deliverables for all 3rd party vendors and contractors
-Hire and manage ad hoc contractors/overhires as needed
- Work with and oversee current staff to prioritize maintenance of the physical campus

Administrative
-Assist the Managing Director in keeping H.H.A.C. compliant with all relevant codes and laws
-Assist the H.H.A.C. Managing Director and Rector with project budgets
-Correspond effectively with H.H.A.C. and Church of the Transfiguration staff

Qualifications
-Project management experience is a must
-Ability to perform light labor (lift up to 50 lbs)
-Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to be self-motivated and able to problem-solve under pressure
-A working knowledge of Google platforms (Gmail, GDrive, etc)
-Occasional Saturday, Sunday, and evening availability
-Excellent communication skills, in-person and in writing
-A positive attitude
-Desire to work with a collaborative team
-Background in technical theater and/or building management is preferred
-Fire guard or similar compliance experience is a plus
-Multi-lingual is a plus
