Stages St. Louis is looking for an audio engineer for our 2025 production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. The dates are August 19 to October 24th:
Pay rate $20.00 hr

Qualifications and duties to include:

-Fluent programming and mixing on DiGiCo SD9T Console.
-Knowledge of Shure wireless microphones, wireless workbench, Qlab, and Aviom systems. (Mainstage is a plus, but not required).
- Knowledge of current audio equipment standards (maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting).
- Knowledge of L'Acoustics PA and amplifiers.
- Basic knowledge in computer networking including IP standards.
- Basic knowledge of Clear-Com intercom systems and CCTV systems.
- In depth understanding of audio signal flow and patching.
- Experience line-by-line mixing musicals with large casts and live bands.
- Mix the production and maintain the sound plot for each production with the assistance of the A2.
- Experience with theatrical body micing and wireless systems.
- Ability to produce show paperwork for training and show run.
- Work in a detail-oriented manner, adaptable to change, a creative problem solver, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to reach above head, climb, lift and maneuver 30 pounds frequently.
- Work comfortably at heights such as on catwalks, ladders, and lifts.
- Assist Audio Supervisor with the setup and maintenance of the microphone plot for each production.
- Assist Audio Supervisor with the installation and maintenance of the public address system for each production.
- Ideally 3 years or more experience in theatrical sound at a comparable theater or venue.
- Read and adhere to the guidelines in the Employee Handbook

Reports to: Audio Supervisor
Expected hours:
- Prep/Load In (8/25-9/5) 40 hours/week
- Tech (9/8-9/18) 50-60 hours/week
- Show Run (9/19-10/19) 40 hours/week
- Load Out (10/20-10/24) 40 hours/week

Must have own transportation and ideally local to St Louis but there is possible shared housing available.
