starting at $20/hr biweekly

The lightboard op/ electrician will manage, maintain, and operate lighting systems and equipment to support the lighting needs of FAC Mainstage Productions, as well as Young Artists Productions, rental events, and other internal events as assigned.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

-Maintain the lighting and SFX elements associated with FAC productions.

-Attend and participate in technical rehearsals, load-In, and strike.
-Provide lighting support as Light Board Op during the run of all FAC productions and events
-Provide lighting support as needed for special events and venue rentals

Preferred qualifications and Skills:

-Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
-2-4 years experience operating and installing theatrical lighting equipment
-Proficient in safe practices and methods regarding electrical systems and equipment
-Working knowledge of lighting plots (Vectorworks) and related paperwork (Lightwright)
-Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook

Physical Demands:

-Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
-Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to lifting and bending, as well as climbing A-frame and extension ladders
-Ability to work from heights (grids, catwalks, ladders, scaffolding, and lifts)
-Available to work nights and weekends
-Workdays could be long and will include long periods of time either sitting or standing
