The Department of Theatre at Aurora University is looking for a Chicagoland area-based Prop/Puppet Designer for the Spring Production of Carousel

Props Designer Responsibilities: Work as part of the design team, especially with the scenic designer and director, Create an initial prop list, Work with the director, scenic designer and stage manager to maintain and update, Attend production meetings, design presentation, designer run, tech rehearsals and dress rehearsals as necessary, create and manage an inventory of all borrowed or rented props, Work professionally with student cast and crew members.

Must be able to attend all Zoom production meetings, design presentation at first rehearsal, Tech and Dress.

Production meetings begin in November via Zoom. Rehearsals begin 1/14/2026 through 3/17/2026 (Spring break 3/8-3/14, no rehearsals). Tech and Dress 3/18/2026-3/25/2026
