Seeking experienced theatrical Carpenter for internationally-renowned children's entertainment tour.

Candidates must possess all necessary skills customarily rendered with each role and have experience executing first-class musical stage performances to an equivalent calibre of a Broadway, West End or pop music production. Candidates must have a valid passport and no issues traveling to Canada.

Tour is 2 tour bus, 1 truck production. Compensation is dependent on experience and role and is exclusive of per diems, travel and accommodation. Los Angeles based candidates preferred, but not limited to.

25 Aug - 18 Sep Rehearsals
19 Sep - 22 Dec Tour
7 Jan - 2 Apr Tour

Duties:

The Employee shall perform all Services customarily rendered by the Carpenter of a first-class musical stage play (of the same quality and calibre as a Broadway/West End musical). Without limitation of the following,


Responsibilities:

* Assist the Head Carpenter with the safe and efficient load-in, setup, and strike of all scenic elements, props, and stage equipment.

* Assist the Head Carpenter with adjusting of rigging plots, line sets and scaling production

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on show-related carpentry items, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.

* Help troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during performances or rehearsals.

* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

* Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

* Collaborate effectively with other departments, including lighting, audio, and wardrobe, to ensure a smooth production.

* Assist with the packing and unpacking of tour equipment.

* Willingness to travel extensively with the tour for extended periods.

Experience:

* Proven experience in theatrical carpentry or a related field.

* Strong understanding of scenic construction, rigging, and stagecraft.
* Proficiency with various hand and power tools.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.

* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

* Prior touring experience is a must.
