Chicago Stagehand Services LLC is expanding its on-call crew list and seeking experienced and reliable non-union freelance stagehands for upcoming live events, corporate functions, concerts, and theater productions in the greater Chicago area. As a 1099 contractor, you'll be part of a dynamic team delivering top-tier support to clients across a range of venues.

Responsibilities:

Load-in/load-out of staging, lighting, sound, and video equipment

Assist in setup and strike of events and performances

Operate basic production gear under supervision (as applicable)

Follow safety guidelines and venue protocols

Collaborate effectively with fellow crew, leads, and production teams

Maintain a professional attitude in fast-paced environments

Requirements:

Prior stagehand, AV, or production experience preferred

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Flexible availability (including nights/weekends)

Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.

Own PPE (gloves, hard hat, steel-toe boots) a plus

Reliable transportation to gigs around the Chicago area

Must complete a W-9 and be eligible for 1099 contract work
