SUMMARY

The Production + Company Management Assistant is responsible for assisting Geva+rsquo;s Production Manager and Company Manager with day-to-day support. Also responsible for Geva+rsquo;s core values of artistic courage, sustainability, excellence, boundless hospitality, empathy, and anti-racism and inclusion. This position is part-time and capped at 30 hours per week.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITY

Production Management

Assist with scheduling meetings +ndash; design meetings, production meetings, departmental sidebars, and other production-related meetings.
Creation, organization and distribution of files specific to each production or for the benefit of the production department staff.
Communicate with external vendors, partners, shippers, and servicing technicians to facilitate purchasing, rentals, transportation of goods, and repairs.
Attend and take minutes for production meetings and other department meetings as schedule allows.
Undertake special research and coordination projects unique to each production.
Assist with the tracking of production deadlines and expenses.
Run building-wide or city-wide errands as needed.
Occasionally be assigned to a load-in crew as skill and time allows.
Additional production-related duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Company Management

Assist in coordination of guest artist travel, transportation, housing, and shipping, depending on the scope of each production.
Coordinate elements of guest artist housing preparation; including arrival packets, welcome bags, coordination of cleaning services, maintenance communication, preparing rooms, and greeting guest artists upon arrival.
Assist Company Manager in guest artist and staff hospitality; including tech tables, crew meals, first preview, opening night, grocery runs, coordination of company PT, etc.
Support Company Manager by being +ldquo;on-call+rdquo; every other weekend.
Liaise with different departments about company members+rsquo; safety and comfort needs.
Additional production-related duties as assigned by the Company Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with the professional theatrical process.
Experience in arts administration, non-profit theatre, production venues, or a related field
Familiarity with Microsoft programs, Google Suites, and the Internet as needed for research and execution.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for asking informed questions and presenting research information, and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt them to a group of different projects.
Ability to handle responsibility with little or no supervisor while displaying consistent expertise.
A valid US driver+rsquo;s license and comfortability driving multiple people at the same time.
Ability to drive a cargo van and/or box truck preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, energized, and quickly changing environment.
Ability to work flexibly on some evenings, weekends, and the occasional holiday.
Ability to treat confidential information with discretion.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to crouch, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb stairs and ladders, stand and sit for extended periods of time, reach above, below and at neck level, have full range of neck motion, see near and far with good depth perception, and work indoors and outdoors.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
