Lighting Designer (NYC)
Venue: Centennial Memorial Temple (CMT) Status: Part time/On-call
Rate: $35-55/hr (commensurate with experience)

Job Description:

We are looking for a lighting designer who is familiar with live event production and using ETC Ion 2000 light board. This is an on-call position that is paid as an independent contractor. Average workload is about 3-6 events a month. Preferably or 3 -5 years work experience as a lighting designer. We are looking for a good communicator and a problem solver. Looking to start Immediately.

Skills:
+bull; Three years of experience in Tour or Stage Production
+bull; Proficient in stage lighting
+bull; Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+bull; Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Responsibilities
+bull; Implement focus and lighting adjustments according to specifications
+bull; Operate and program spotlight and lighting control boards
+bull; Maintain and repair lighting equipment as required
+bull; Assist with production tasks throughout the venue
+bull; Meet artist and event A/V requirements
+bull; Ensure the safe operation of all lighting equipment
+bull; Coordinate closely with visiting production crews to guarantee seamless show
execution
+bull; Develop and manage lighting plot plans
+bull; Ensure all special event lighting needs are met
+bull; Provide assistance to audio crews with tools, microphones, and cables important for
setup
+bull; Assist with Load-in, setup, and breakdown of band and event equipment when needed

The venue is a 1350 seat theatre in an art deco style. We are located in the on the border of

Manhattan+rsquo;s Chelsea and Greenwich Village sections.

Must have experience in technical theatre or live concerts. Pay varies based on project and
experience.
