The Estimator / Technical Analyst works in the Project Management department and is responsible for preparing estimates.

Key Responsibilities
+bull; Prepare budgets and detailed proposals for scenic construction.
+bull; Deliver recommendations on cost saving initiatives within the pricing and bidding components of Hudson+rsquo;s business model. Provide CEO and Senior Management with ongoing feedback and analysis on increasing cost efficiency of estimation price points.
+bull; Review potential projects with Project Management team identifying construction challenges and potential areas of concern; Provide written and oral summaries to PMs.
+bull; Detail materials and methods for construction for pricing.
+bull; Research vendors and analyzing historical data to prepare time, material, and labor cost estimates.
+bull; Consult with other Hudson departments including Engineering, Scenic Artists, Automation, Set Electrics, Production Management, etc.
+bull; Obtain quotes for estimates and consult with vendors regarding manufacturability and potential alternates.
+bull; Maintain project records, gather and review historical and live project data to aid in future estimation.
+bull; Assist in finding creative solutions and new building techniques to meet budget, schedule, design, and technical requirements of client.

Qualifications
+bull; Minimum of 3+ years in commercial theatre or entertainment industry construction + estimating.
+bull; Strong understanding of scenic construction and automation.
+bull; Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, and strong AutoCAD skills.
o Ability to navigate Inventor models a plus.
+bull; Knowledge of advanced automated tooling, such as CNC Lathes, Routers and Mills.
+bull; Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and/or union contracts
o Experience with IATSE and/or USA829 contracts for stagehand and artists a plus.
+bull; Ability to effectively prioritize, execute, and problem solve in a high-pressure environment and work efficiently within given time constraints.
+bull; Ability to communicate ideas clearly.
+bull; Self-motivated; team oriented and highly collaborative work style.
