About the Role
Spiegelworld is looking for a Head Lighting to join the team at the Atomic Saloon Show at the Venetian in Las Vegas. It is the primary responsibility of the Head Lighting to provide technical and production support in all aspects of entertainment lighting related to the production as well as operating their own show track daily. Included in the scope is assistance with the maintenance, inspection, and operation of lighting equipment on site according to company policies. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. This is a full-time position that earns $44/hour per the Union contract

What You'll Do
-Oversee the day to day operation of lighting equipment and console.
-Perform daily/ weekly inspections on all lighting equipment, and complete inspection documentation including cleaning and routine maintenance.
-Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace
-Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
-Work closely with the Lighting Designer, Production Manager, and other Department Heads to maintain the artistic vision of the show
-Maintain documentation of show cues, cue track, and the lighting rig, as directed
-Participate in weekly work calls and perform prescribed preventative maintenance on the lighting equipment.
-Oversee the technical programming and operation of all equipment, ensuring smooth execution of shows, including updates and modifications as needed.
-Act as the primary technical liaison, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues during production runs.
-Operate the lighting consoles during shows and rehearsals.
-Program, configure, and maintain control systems (lighting, audio, video, automation, etc.) to meet evolving production needs.
-Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality -performances.
-Participate in all required safety and emergency rescue trainings, as directed
-Manage technical documentation and ensure all programming changes are accurately recorded and communicated.
-Aid in the evolution of the production by making changes to show flow as required
-Work with vendors on regular maintenance and repairs to the lighting systems.
-Train additional operators to maintain coverage for the Department
-Track consumables and spares that are applicable to the department and requesting restocking orders from the Production Manager in a timely manner.
-Support special events, including installation of new lighting elements
-Collaborate with other departments as needed to run performances and rehearsals
-Maintain a high standard of safety during trainings and shows.
-Establish trust-based relationships with the performers.
-Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What You Bring
-Must have a minimum of five years' professional experience in lighting operation and equipment.
-Must be at least 21 years of age and have valid work authorization for the US
-Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
-A good candidate will highlight continuing education in the fields of lighting throughout their career.
-Familiarity with theatrical lighting consoles and electrical systems, including maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, etc.
-Familiarity with GrandMA2 and GrandMA3 consoles
-A familiarity with Timecode, sACN, and Networking is an asset
-Must be flexible and have a positive attitude when met with issues or alterations to plans.
-Able to work in a nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights
-Must have a strong ability to manage and prioritize a multitude of projects, and delegate when appropriate.
-Current OSHA 10 and ability to maintain proper safety and sanitation standards
-Use of Microsoft Suite as well as being generally computer savvy-
-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always changing, never dull, creative environment
-Exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail and organization, and a collaborative attitude
-Ability to exhibit extreme patience
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
-Must be team-oriented and self-motivated
-Passion for ensuring you consistently deliver the highest standards
-Successful background check clearance prior to hire
-Must have valid work authorization for the US.
