Governors State University+rsquo;s Theatre and Performance Studies program is seeking a Lighting Designer for its upcoming spring production of Anon(ymous) by Naomi Iizuka.

General Show Information
+bull; Auditions will occur on September 15th and 16th with rehearsals starting on Saturday, September 20th, 2025.
+bull; All rehearsals will occur on the Governors State campus in Chicago+rsquo;s south suburbs.
+bull; Performance dates: November 6-9, 2025, in Governors State University+rsquo;s Sherman Hall

Lighting Designer Responsibilities
+bull; Design the lighting for TAPS+rsquo;s production of Anon(ymous)
+bull; Create and implement a lighting plot with in-house lighting equipment per the design
+bull; Collaboratively work with the production team
+bull; Keep impeccable financial paperwork and receipts
+bull; Coordinate a focusing and cueing schedules with production staff
+bull; Adhere to the production deadlines
+bull; Program the board and troubleshoot during the production
+bull; Work professionally with student crew members
+bull; Prepare and update lighting paperwork
+bull; Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Duties in collaboration with the Production Manager
+bull; Share documentation for archival records
+bull; Submit production financial records and receipts

Qualifications
+bull; Proven Lighting Design experience
+bull; Local to the Chicagoland area
+bull; Ability to travel to the Governors State campus
+bull; Ability to attend all production meetings, design meetings, load-in, and tech.
+bull; Able to carry out all duties in a timely manner, with a positive attitude
+bull; Ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner
+bull; Good time management and budgetary skills

The salary for this position is $1,100.
