OVERHIRE TRUCK DRIVER

TITLE: Truck Driver

CLASSIFICATION: Non - Exempt / Hourly Employee

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR(s): Shop Foreperson, Project Manager, Onsite Coordinator

Flexible Work Hours Including Nights and Weekends. Overtime available as projects dictate.

Compensation: $30.00/Hour


RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive to a variety of locations with scheduled delivery + pick up times
- Assist with loading and unloading, moving pallets and scenery of various sizes in a safe and efficient manner
- Read and follow trucking manifests
- Communicate with Project Managers and Onsite Coordinators
- Maintain a safe and clean working space

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- A valid license and good driving record
- CDL preferred but not required
- Comfortable driving various vehicles including sprinters and box trucks (up to 26 ft non-CDL) in and around NYC
- Ability to handle scenery and materials up to 50 lbs
- Experience with loading and driving for entertainment scenery or a similar field
- Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends
- Have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work and interact with other crew members
- Professional demeanor around co-workers and clients
- Positive attitude
- Worksite safety is paramount. Awareness of the environment is critical
