CHILD MANAGER
Seasonal, Full-Time Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Production + Operations and Production Stage Manager
Start Date: June 24, 2025 (dates subject to slight changes)
End Date: August 10, 2025
Housing: Shared bedroom, kitchen, and bath in company housing
Compensation: $375/week, housing included
Hiring Schedule: Interviews will begin on or about May 19, 2025
Overview:
Weston Theater Company (WTC) is designed to be a collaborative organization; employees

passionate and engaged in their area of expertise and will also demonstrate a willingness to
help other departments if needed to fulfill WTC+rsquo;s mission: to create theater to engage, entertain,
and inspire our ever-expanding community.
Weston Theater Company is located in rural southern Vermont. Having an appreciation for
nature and a quiet small-town vibe for the summer is essential. What we lack in population
density, public transportation, and urban conveniences is offset by the beauty of 400,000 acres
of national forests, lakes, quintessential general stores, and caring community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+bull; The Child Manager is responsible for keeping the child safe while at the theater;
+bull; The Child Manager is responsible for reinforcing the expectations and etiquette outlined
in the Guardian Manual and acts as an extension of Stage and Production Management
for the child performer(s);
+bull; Receive/hand off child performer(s) to preapproved Guardian 15 minutes prior to
rehearsal + performance calls, and 15 minutes after End of Day or final curtain;
+bull; Supervise child performer(s) while offstage in designated areas;
+bull; Escort child performer(s) between production areas, dressing areas, restroom facilities,
etc.;
+bull; Ensure child performer(s) are in place for entrances as instructed during rehearsals/run
of show;
+bull; Identify and communicate any needs or concerns to Stage Management in an efficient
and timely manner;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+bull; Experience supervising children of various age groups preferred;
+bull; Experience implementing safety protocols, and creating a protective environment;
+bull; Excellent inter-personal, organizational, collaborative, and communication skills;
+bull; Demonstrated experience working with standard AEA/Union regulations;
+bull; Demonstrated knowledge of industry and OSHA standard safety practices;
