TECHNICAL DIRECTOR FOR THEATRE PROGRAM AT PREMIERE SUMMER CAMP
This person must love theatre, kids and camp. Hard work, long hours; great rewards. Live-on position where all meals and living expenses are included as part of your summer position as well as a competitive salary. Employment dates for this summer are 6/19-8/15. Technical Director for 5 fully-staged musical productions in a well equipped summer camp theatre facility as part of the overall camp activity program for kids 8 - 16.
Must be experienced in (and very willing/capable of doing) standard theatrical carpentry, lighting and sound and be ready to deal with brown paper, foam and various craft materials as well. This person should be an outgoing, in charge, hands-on "grown-up" who can manage and supervise the technical part of the productions and enjoy teaching and harnessing the energy of the kids; all in concert with the other theatre professionals who join in the creative process.
Experience in professional theatre important, experience with teaching kids important, being able to be happy working at a summer at camp - very important. (A good sense of humor? Don't leave home without it+hellip;)
