JOB TITLE: Electrician

GENERAL JOB STATEMENT: The Electrician works with a crew of other electricians under the supervision of the Head of Electrics to safely complete the installation and focus of the lighting plot in addition to any set electrics, atmospherics, or minor special effects. Electricians may also be asked to perform deck electrician duties for certain shows, as assigned.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely install and focus all lighting equipment as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret a lighting plot.
- Maintain and repair lighting instruments and equipment.
- Act as deck electrician where required on shows.
- Participate in all show load-ins and load-outs.
- Assist in organization and maintenance of workspaces and tools.
- Ability to work as a member of a crew.
- Any additional tasks as requested by the Director of Production, Asst. Production Manager, Head of Electrics.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 2 years+rsquo; experience in theatrical electrics methodologies and practices.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with contemporary instruments and equipment.
- Light board programming knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and methods in given field.
