About the Role
Spiegelworld is seeking a Head Wardrobe to join the team at Atomic Saloon inside The Venetian Las Vegas. This position plays a key role in maintaining the artistic and operational integrity of the show's costumes. The Head Wardrobe oversees the daily operations of the department, provides hands on support with costume construction, fittings, laundry, dry cleaning, repairs, and ensures all wardrobe elements are show ready at all times. They will run a cue track during performances, attend rehearsals as needed, and collaborate closely with the production team. This role requires proactive problem solving, clear communication, and the ability to guide a team with professionalism and efficiency. The Head Wardrobe reports to the Production Manager. This is a full-time position and the pay is $44/hour per the Union.
What You'll Do
-Lead ongoing Wardrobe department operations, including sewing, fittings, alterations (including adjustments to tailoring), costume construction and repairs (including shoes and accessories), painting, dyeing, and supervising wig styling and makeup.
-Oversee day-to-day Wardrobe Department management, including active and archived inventory, ensuring all storage systems are organized and documented, and keeping dressing notes and departmental records accurate and up to date.
-Maintain the integrity of the costume designer's vision through consistent application, care, and adjustment of costume elements to support the ongoing success of the production.
-Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
-Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
-Manage ordering, procuring and tracking of the department's expendables and equipment.
-Maintaining, fitting, inspecting, adjust, build and repair all costume pieces and accessories for the show to preserve the long-term integrity of the costume design
-Weekly Schedule of Wardrobe crew members in collaboration with Production Manager
-Assist performers with wardrobe and quick changes before and during performances.
-Attend special costume sessions when appropriate.+
-Ensure performers are wearing costumes, accessories, wigs, and makeup correctly according to the production costume design.
-Collaborate with other departments as needed to run performances and rehearsals.
-Work closely with the Production and Management teams to maintain the integrity of the show and to communicate and evaluate wardrobe use and function to ensure a smooth and efficient tech process.
-Must have a strong ability to manage and prioritize a multitude of projects.
-Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and artistic excellence.
-Maintain a safe working environment at all times by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures.+nbsp;
-Aiding in the evolution of the production by making changes to show flow as required
-Training additional operators to maintain coverage for department
-Supporting special events as required, including integration of new performers, acts, and costumes
-Participating in all required safety and emergency rescue trainings, as directed
-Establish trust-based relationships with the performers
-Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What You Bring
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-At least 5 years of experience in Professional Theatrical environments
-Minimum 2 years of experience in a crew leadership role
-An Ideal candidate will provide evidence of continuing education in associated fields
-Proficient in the use and maintenance of all technical Wardrobe machinery and equipment
-Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
-Basic knowledge computer software to include Google Docs, Sheets and Meets, MS Word, Excel, and Docs as well as office equipment, i.e. laminator, P-touch labeler and copier
-Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
-Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company uniform and standards
-Excellent organizational skills
-Attention to detail
-Ability to effectively delegate work
-Ability to stay calm under pressure
-Ability to exhibit extreme patience
-Current OSHA 10 and ability to maintain proper safety and sanitation standards
-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always changing, never dull, creative environment
-Ability to tolerate exposure to chemicals, cleansers and solvents.
-High level of mobility. Including going up and down stairs.
-Exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail and organization, and a collaborative attitude
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
-Must be team-oriented and self-motivated
-Passion for ensuring you consistently deliver the highest standards
-Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the constantly changing environment
-Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards
-Ability to perform basic math.
-Must be at least 21 years of age
-Successful background check clearance + reference checks prior to hire
-Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
-Must have valid work authorization for the US.
