Assistant Props Supervisor


Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks an experienced Assistant Props Supervisor for our 2025 Season and Arts Academy productions. Dates of employment between May 16, 2025 and November 9, 2025.


Ideal Candidate: Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced working environment.

Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to):
- Must have experience in prop shopping and acquiring items for a wide variety of theatrical styles and periods for each production.
- Possess strong knowledge of construction techniques and high-level artisan skills, including painting, sculpting, and molds.
- Theatrical carpentry skills a must.
- Experience with theatrical paint techniques, and textures.
- Assist load-in/strike as necessary.
- Assist with paperwork/documentation.
- Ideal candidates would have a valid driver+rsquo;s license and personal vehicle.
- Sewing skills preferred.
- Upholstery skills preferred, but not required.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with Arts Academy Productions as needed.
- Job requires ability to sit/stand for long periods of time, and bend, stoop, or kneel in execution of duties as assigned.
- Job requires ability to lift, carry, move necessary equipment up and down stairs in varied lighting conditions.
- Unconventional hours may be required.


Position is a W2, $21/hr plus O/T and housing included.

Ogunquit Playhouse will now be offering Health insurance to all employees who are with the company for 120+ consecutive days and work at least 30 hours weekly. Ogunquit Playhouse will cover 75% of employee+rsquo;s company sponsored Health insurance premium. Dental and Vision insurance will also be available at the employee+rsquo;s expense. Employees who work the Ogunquit Playhouse+rsquo;s entire season will also accrue Earned Paid Leave up to 40 hours. Eligibility is based on the length of the contract. Shortening the length of that contract may affect eligibility.
