We are seeking a dynamic and experienced fundraiser to lead the development efforts at HITS Theatre, achieving its mission and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for community engagement, and a drive to achieve strategic fundraising goals. This role requires a visionary leader who can effectively manage resources, develop sponsorship programs and opportunities, and foster relationships with all constituents.
Duties:
+bull; Be a professional, articulate, enthusiastic, and informed ambassador of HITS Theatre.
+bull; In collaboration with the Executive Director, develop and implement strategic plans to advance the organization+rsquo;s mission and objectives.
+bull; Work respectfully and collaboratively with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Staff on a daily basis.
+bull; Represent HITS Theatre at meetings, when appropriate. Contribute towards the strengthening of performing arts throughout the Houston region.
+bull; Generate contributed income as part of HITS Theatre+rsquo;s overall $1Million operating budget.
+bull; Create and execute a Development Plan for HITS Theatre, identifying and soliciting viable donors, sponsors, grant-makers, foundations, in-kind supporters, and partners, as well as planning and executing fundraising events.
+bull; Identify, compile, and submit grants, proposals, and reports in a complete, timely, accurate, and compelling manner.
+bull; Ensure effective and efficient management of resources, including appropriate donor recognition and gratitude, including thank-yous.
+bull; Negotiate contracts and partnerships that align with the organization+rsquo;s goals.
+bull; Collaborate with the Fundraising Committee to ensure fundraising goals are met and events are produced within budget.
+bull; Monitor sponsorship effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes. Fulfill donor and sponsor benefits throughout the year.
+bull; Inspire engagement of HITS Theatre Staff, Board Members, and outside supporters through leadership by example.
+bull; Play an active role in the preparation of annual departmental and organization-wide budgets.
+bull; Serve as a Member of the Leadership Team.
Experience:
+bull; Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required.
+bull; Event planning, fundraising strategies, and grant writing is highly desirable.
+bull; A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituents.
+bull; Excellent computer/technology skills, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.
+bull; Experience in an arts and/or arts education environment.
+bull; A spirit of curiosity and tenacity to +ldquo;get the job done+rdquo;.

Pay: $45,000-$50,000 per year
