The John W. Engeman Theater is currently seeking scenic painters. We are looking for a full time scenic charge artist and a part-time scenic painter. Having experience in multiple theatrical production fields is a plus. Candidates will be working in our scenic shop in Ronkonkoma as well as a 400 seat Proscenium theater.

Qualifications:
-Knowledge of scenic art techniques including but not limited to color mixing and color theory, faux finish techniques, physical texture applications, and foam carving
-Ability to work well alone or in a group
-Ability to work for long hours, shifted schedules, and overnight calls
-Ability to lift 50lbs
-Ability to stand for extended periods of time
-Ability to climb and paint on ladders
-Experience reading paint elevations
-Organized and personable
-Ability to take and apply feedback
- MUST be local to Long Island or NYC
