The Sharon Playhouse, the historic, professional, nonprofit theater located in the foothills of the beautiful Berkshire Mountains, is seeking to fill the role of Wardrobe Supervisor for its 2025 summer season.

The Sharon Playhouse offers you the opportunity to work alongside professional artists from NYC, the tri-state area, and beyond. Our upcoming MainStage season includes Million Dollar Quartet, Annie, Sylvia, and The Mousetrap, as well as, our Spotlight Gala, Writer's Playground and a special reading of Die Mommie Die.

Our YouthStage season includes Sharon Playhouse Stars, Finding Nemo Jr., The Great Amusement Park Mystery!, Kids' Cabaret, and 101 Dalmatians Kids, and the inaugural Launchpad Company production of Once Upon a Mattress.

The Wardrobe Supervisor reports directly to the Costume Shop Manager.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Supports the Costume Shop Manager in the successful running of the Costume Shop, including MainStage and YouthStage productions.

In collaboration with the YouthStage Costume Director: laundering, striking and restoring all YouthStage costumes.

Oversees daily laundry, maintenance, and repair of wardrobe, wigs, and make-up supplies.

Communicates with Production Stage Management regarding fittings, rehearsal needs and performer requests.

The Wardrobe Supervisor assists the Costume Shop Manager with design integration, construction, fitting, repairing, cleaning, storing, and cataloging of costumes.

Assists with shopping for all locally purchased production specific costume items, as needed.

Be responsive to emails, meet deadlines, and communicate regularly and promptly with the Costume Shop Manager, Costume Designer, Production Managers, and others as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently, excellent organizational and time-management skills, a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.

All candidates must have a valid driver+rsquo;s license. Use of candidate's own vehicle is preferred, but not required.

Prior Wardrobe Supervision experience preferred.

Dates of employment are from June 16-October 5. Compensation: $400/week 16 weeks.
